Results regarding “what are you doing with your smartphone?” #apps10

by scholly on May 5, 2010

After having the panel discussion regarding Mobile Web vs. Mobile App see here the results I just presented. The conclusion is that even the smartphone is a communication device (surprise, surprise) that enables social networking through mobile internet (or vise versa). Gaming is obviously something user do rarely (but maybe intensive) and Email & Search are surprisingly low (not good for BB or Search-Provider).

I prefer using applications on my mobile for emails, social networking and for stuff like accessing my bank account. The primary reason being, “the interface”. Most websites are not effective on mobile browser than their applications counterparts. And I found the navigation will be really friendly on native apps, and some times quicker.
